Believe the hype!
I read up on this product and thought I'd give it a try. Between my own hockey league and catching my son and his young-armed wild pitches, I really wanted a comfortable cup that I can wear for games or a couple of hours of practice that is comfortable and protective - and this one is it.
Just looking at it, I was sure that being as wide as it is that it would be uncomfortable. I was wrong. Instead of mashing your softer parts into the smallest part of a regular cup, this one is wide where it counts to fit the shape of your junk. It's very protective and does not seem to create as big of a 'cup bulge' as regular cups. I would think this is a must-have for catcher's and most any contact sport. After wearing it for 2 hockey games and some baseball practice, I bought one for my son too.

Best Athletic Cup on the Market
I have worn jocks and athletic cups throughout my life, but I think that the Nutty Buddy athletic cup is best on the market. Not only does it protect my male assets (and I love its "complete" coverage), it is so comfortable that I can wear it leisurely for hours at a time. I like to wear it even during my long walks. I love how it floats with my every move. It works best for me wearing it in the pouch of an ordinary jockstrap over a pair of boxer briefs. Also I vary between the Mongo and Trophy sizes.

Great product, but check the sizing
This is a quality product for catchers. My son is 13, but is 5'8" and 180 lbs. So, I ordered a the "Hog", which is a medium. The medium strap was too small, and this cup did not fit properly in his existing Easton sliding shorts. Since Baseball Express offered packaged sizing, I called the Nutty Buddy company and was so impressed when they offered to exchange the strap for free!

This thing was super uncomfortable. I heard this was supposed to be ergonomically designed or some such garbage. I watched the sports science episode on this a year ago and was eager to try it out. Problem was this was wider than other cups i've owned and was way more uncomfortable than the one i currently own. It is solid plastic all the way around. The one i have now has rubber in the area that contacts the thighs which make it way more comfortable than this thing. I Returned this.
