Additional Info:
- Youth bats are for ages
approximately 5 through 12 and are used in leagues including Little League,
Babe Ruth, Dixie Youth, PONY, USSSA and AABC. Make sure to check the regulations
of your league before buying a baseball bat
- Youth barrel diameters
are 21⁄4" or 23⁄4" (21⁄4" being most common)
- Senior barrel diameters
are 25⁄8" or 23⁄4" (25⁄8" being most common)
- Adult barrel diameter
is 25⁄8"
- Bat lengths typically
range from 26" to 35"
- Bats are measured using
a length to weight ratio, the negative number represents how many ounces a
bat weighs compared to its length in inches. For example, a 34" bat that weights
29 oz is a -5. The largest ratio is in the range of -13 (for Youth bats) while
college and high school bats are restricted to a -3
- *Selecting the proper
bat weight largely depends on personal preference. Large, strong hitters commonly
prefer heavier bats that afford added swing power. Smaller players with less
strength might consider lighter bats for better control and quicker swings
- If you're a High School
or College player your bat must meet the BBCOR standard. All Baseball Savings
Adult -3 bats are approved for High School and College play. For more information
