Louisville Slugger 618 Solo USA Baseball Bat -11 29 18 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BAT! We bought the 618 Solo (based on reviews) for my 9 year old son about a month ago and he's REALLY happy with the results so far! The weight distribution appears to be just what he needed compared to his old stick, the ball jumps off the barrel, great sound and he says the grip is perfect. 5 stars for sure (provided it holds up to a season of league and all-star play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best USA bats on the market!!!! Huge sweet spot. Huge barrel and great pop. One of the best USA bats you can find. I have tried over 10 different USA bats and this has the most balanced feel out of all them. I highly recommend this bat!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy! I got this bat for my oldest son who just turned 10. He's little (4', 52 pds) so I wanted a light bat, but I also wanted him to progress in weight and length so I opted for the 28" 17oz. Looking at other reviews I was hoping that because of the balanced weight (-11 drop) the weight wouldn't be that noticeable. I was also reluctant because when the new USA bats came out, they were 2 oz heavier than their ratings (I wasted money on a bat because of this). So now the good news. The bats look and feel great. We have had several practices (games start in 2 weeks) and this bat is everything I was hoping for! The weight is correct and the bat is perfectly balanced. My 7 year old and 10 year old are both using this bat with great success. There is an actual "ting" like the old aluminum bats (not the thud of the other composites) and the ball actually moves off the bat well. Both boys are swinging it like their lighter bats (old ones are 27" 15oz and 16oz) with no problems and started crushing pitches right away. Glad I tried this bat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nic bat! Son has used this for about 8 games so far. It seems to be the most popular choice of bats with his teammates as well for both my sons 10 & 11 U teams. However last week one of these bats did break in 2 pieces as a boy was taking batting practice with normal baseballs throw by a coach. The handle remained in his hand, while the rest of the bat cracked about 8 inch up from the handle. It was a clean break! Hope they honor the warranty!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Let's Play Two Bought as a gift for my grandson. 9 years old. He recently used it at a winter indoor clinic. He loved it. It was so good all the other participants wanted to use it. So far so good. No vibration on this one piece bat.....,keep hitting the sweet spot and you will never feel fibration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Homerun on the first hit! My son borrowed this bat for his very last hit of the Fall Ball season and hit a homerun. Amazing hit...(although it did lack some momentum once it went down...but I've heard these bigger barreled bats are more like that). He borrowed the 29 inch but choked up on it just a bit so we went with the 28 inch. My 7 year old only wanted this bat after that hit and we needed to get something with the USA standard. He's only practiced with it a few times with it since we just bought it and you are supposed to only use at 60 degrees or above. Looking forward to warmer days to see how he does with it in the Spring.

Is the weight true. Does a 19 oz bat weigh within a 1/2 oz like most Louisville or is it a couple ounces heavier like Easton? Also is this bat balanced or is it end weighted like the 718 Select? Looking for a balanced bat that weighs true.

Asked by: North State18
The weight should be within close tolerance of the listed drop. This is balanced bat.
