Shoeless Joe Pro Series Outfielders Baseball Gloves
It is simply great in every respect.
First, the glove has made me a believer the benefits of different gloves for different positions, specifically middle infield vs. outfield. I had been playing outfield with an infield glove. Since making the switch, I have seen the difference the extra ¾” makes in catching a baseball on the run, which is nearly every ball. As to the Shoeless Joe glove, the model I purchased is 12.5” modified trapeze. The leather is something special: light, flexible and really nice looking. So far, it seems to me that the whole glove is the pocket, with plenty of structure to capture the ball (even at the top), but soft enough for easy closure. For me, it is the perfect overall size for the outfield. I also like its open back. I have an average-to-thin adult hand; I’ve not adjusted the back closure and with a thin golf glove, it fits just right. I’ve seen a lot of other outfield gloves and tried a few, it is hard for me to imagine using any other, ever. (Sorry, Baseball Savings, I won’t be buying any more gloves.)
