Louisville Slugger MLB Hybrid Baseball Bat

Advanced Technology For An Unparalleled Wood Bat Experience

The two-piece carbon fiber rod that runs through the center of the barrel and handle of the Louisville Slugger MLB hybrid baseball bat is a game changer. Borrowing from two-piece BBCOR innovation, this bat dampens the vibration in the handle so the player can swing away at every pitch. It also also makes the bat incredibly durable. The combination of the two-piece carbon fiber insert and the exterior maple construction gives the player a hard, durable bat that's perfect for training and wood bat leagues.

Louisville Slugger MLB Hybrid Maple Comp Wood Baseball Bat features:

  • Natural Veneer maple barrel gives bat the sound, feel, balance, and performance of a true maple bat
  • Two-piece carbon fiber rod provides outstanding durability and eliminates sting
  • Black Rubbertech handle coating results in a consistently firm, tacky grip
  • Balanced swing weight for superior feel and control
  • 15/16" handle with a slightly flared knob
  • Turning model: I13 Evan Longoria
  • BBCOR certified
  • 120-Day Warranty

  • WBHY14-13NNA Model:
    • 2½" barrel, 15/16" handle
    • Lengths: 32" • 33" • 34"
    • Finish: Black/Natural

Louisville Slugger...The Choice Of Major League Players Since 1884

Great So Far! I purchased this because I play in a wood bat league, and got tired of breaking ash and maple bats. The feel of the bat is great, and the balance is superb. It feels heavy, but swings like a light bat. They advertise a reduced vibration effect. I have yet to feel even a buzz when using it. It seems to me that the sweet spot is broader than a traditional wood bat as well, but that may just be some wishful thinking. I'm squaring up more balls, though. One oddity is that the bat is essentially two halves glued together. What is really odd is that the grain of the two halves do not coincide with one another, and the trademark is not relevant to the grain either. I suppose the reinforcement rod must be strong enough to allow LS to ignore the grain of the bat, but I would still feel better if the grain was conistent, and allowed me to hit with the grain. It is a beautiful bat, though, and really gets a lot of attention in the dugout. April 20, 2014
